Palazzo Vitelleschi Museum

I read this the other day:
http://initiatorysubculture.blogspot.com/2012/08/illustrious-grand-conservator-general.html?m=1
I have some questions about the museum that is referred to:
  1. Does anyone here know if the museum actually exists?
  2. If anyone does, what is the exact location? I am aware that the Grand Lodge of Italy has its headquarters at Palazzo Vitelleschi and so I assume it would be there.
  3. If anyone has been to said museum, do they know if they actually possess anything related to the former King of Jordan?
I have seen things from time to time about King Hussein having been initiated into Freemasonry but a lot of it is uncited, and much if the information comes from less reputable anti-mason sites. I have seen plenty of Freemasons claim he was a member but add no further details beyond his name.

It would be especially interesting if he were a member considering the many claims made by Hussein's son, the King Abdullah, who trades in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and other Jewish-Masonic conspiracy theories.

If anyone knows how I might be able to confirm whether or not the article is true, I'd be very pleased to hear about it. Thanks.

I have not been to the aforementioned museum, so I can't comment there. However, I did want to clarify something. The Grand Lodge of Italy does not have it's headquarter at Palazzo Vitelleschi. Rather, the organization that is headquartered there is the Grand Lodge of Italy of the Alam, a group that split off from the Grand Lodge of Italy in 1908. Their address is Via San Nicola de Cesarini 3.

Edit to add: with the different names, it might be more apt to say that the group with the address you're referring to is not the Grand Lodge that is recognized by the UGLE.

Thanks for the information. I was unaware that the group you mentioned had broken off of the recognized grand lodge. It's rather difficult for myself as a non-mason and more importantly a non-Italian, to keep track of such things considering nature of freemasonry in Italy.

Don't feel bad. I am a Mason and it's still incredibly confusing, particularly in Italy. Between all of the different Grand Lodges there, various translations and abbreviations, and the complex history of Freemasonry in Italy, it is definitely challenging.
