Greetings Brethren,
In the next coming months I will be moving to Haywood County in North Carolina for up to about a year. Checking the NC Grand Lodge website, I see that there are quite a few lodges in and near Haywood County.
I have heard of segregation till this day in southern state lodges so I am concerned that I may not be welcomed into a lodge being of Hispanic/Italian decent.
Does anyone know of any lodges that are "diverse" in membership in Haywood County, NC? Here in New York, all brothers of all shades, cultures and religious beliefs are welcomed which is what i love about living in the Northeast, but I hear it is different in the south.
I also plan to visit PHA lodges while living in Haywood County as well but would like to settle in at a mainstream Blue Lodge in Haywood. Any suggestions and comments are truly appreciated.
