I am very interested In our Masonic History in the USA. What are some cool facts or stories that you know and have heard? One of my favorites reaches back to the civil war, when brothers from either side would meet and put their outside beliefs aside and have lodge.

Allen Roberts' book, "House Undivided" is a good start in Civil War history; a follow-on "House Reunited" describes the Reconstruction period. Michael Halloran's "The Better Angels of Our Nature" is a good, more recent update. Bullock describes the effect of Masonry during the Revolution in "Revolutionary Brotherhood: Freemasonry and the Transformation of the American Social Order, 1730-1840". Chris Hodapp's "Solomon's Builders" is a good overview of Masonic effects in our national history. A favorite of mine has been Roberts' biography of Harry Truman, "Brother Truman".

A quick search on "Freemasonry + History" is a good start, though it's a good idea to figure out just what aspects of the history you're really interested in; there is a lot of stuff out there, and depending on those interests, you have to wade through a lot of chaff to find some wheat.
