A representative of the Garden City Masonic Lodge located at 1740 Middlebelt reported that someone defaced the property with black spray paint sometime between April 19-21.

He said that the letter “G†on the sign was covered with spray paint. The word “Illuminati†was written on a parking block.

The lodge secretary said that Illuminati means that the Masons are an underground group which allegedly plans to take over the world.

Last year, someone posted “New World Order†signs on the building, he told police.

Breaking and entering

Some residents who live in the 30000 block of Cherry Hill reported April 21 that someone stole their 42-inch TV and the 2004 Chevy Cavalier that was parked in the driveway. They said that they left the car keys on the table.

The police couldn't find any signs of forced entry, but the residents pointed out that even when the side door is locked, it can be pushed open.

The police found signs of a large party with many beer cans left on a fold-out table in the garage. They also found a burnt marijuana cigarette in the garage.

The man said that the party was a month ago. The woman said that the party was six months ago.

Larceny

A resident in the 31700 block of Bridge Street reported that a relative stole electronic items and some games from the home sometime before 9 p.m. April 10 while that relative was visiting. A seven-year-old was listed as a witness in the report.

Identity theft

A man who lives in the 29000 block of Beechwood told police April 21 that a collection agency has been trying to collect on an unpaid Comcast cable bill.

The man said that he never opened up the account on Murray Hill in Detroit and he never lived in Detroit.

The police gave him a case number for him to give to Comcast. He was also going to check his credit report.

Our Lodge is regularly defaced by the spray can bunch. Unfortunately the lodge is unwilling to take any protective steps because of coast and the possibility that the darlings might be hurt by barbed wire and such.

Shame it happens at all...

How about the possibility of lead poisoning? Oh, that's right- y'all are in Canada where such barbarism is frowned upon, eh?

Cameras are your best deterant, with the exception of the armed guard approach. You can pull in some cameras into a Cheap PC and have it automatically upload to an internet location like Dropbox. If the computer is stolen, you just log in from anywhere to pull the pictures in from your internet location. It can even take pictures only when detecting motion. I went cheap at home and bought four cameras from the internet for 100.00, and they have low light infrared, and a PC card for another 80. The PC I salvaged from one not used anymore. Then the cables etc... So far I've only caught my son slipping out in the middle of the night with our car and without permission. No wonder I'm always out of gas.
