Thanks for carrying resolution 11 and a forceful presentation insuring its passage.

It was also great to see that so few voted against. Masonic Brothers did themselves proud.

I agree, very nicely done.

This is probably the only resolution I have ever heard where I did not have to think about whether or not it was a good idea.

Resolution No. 11 – Adopted as amended. Requires disclosure of compensation from the Grand Lodge of Texas by Master Masons for consulting, legal, accounting, or other professional services be made to the Grand Lodge of Texas and reported by the Grand Lodge Finance Committee.

What does this mean for Texas Masonry?

Or is this the resolution 11 you are talking about. Maybe I got my info mixed up.

11. [FONT=Palatino,Palatino][FONT=Palatino,Palatino]Amend Article 505 to add item 37 "Make any negative reference or take any negative action in regard to a petitioner’s or member’s faith, creed or race at any time. (William A. "Bill" Lins).

As presented at GL today, Res 11 dealt with discrimination shown towards petitioners or members based on faith, creed or race.

GL voted to amend Article 505 in the Grand Lodge law Book to say

Paragraph 1-26 (no changes)

Paragraph 37 Make any negative reference or take any negative action in regard to a petitioner's or member's faith, creed or race at any time.

Hope that makes a little more sense, LDSpears

Does anyone know if this passed?
Grand Master’s Recommendation [FONT=Palatino,Palatino][FONT=Palatino,Palatino]amends Article 163 to provide that the present $14.25 per capita amount be increased to $25.00 and that the increased amount of $10.75 be designated to the Grand Lodge General Fund for use in the operations of Grand Lodge.

Thank You Brothers.
Do you know if all of the resolutions are available in full detail anywhere? I have them in abbreviated format from the Fall Magazine.
Also, will they be posted as to whether or not they were accepted or rejected anywhere? Just curious what all is going on. Too bad I couldn't make it.
Thanks again.

It did pass. A couple of amendments were offered but not adopted, so the end result is that it was voted on as written and it was adopted,

Brethren, y'all are giving me too much credit- it should rightfully go to PGM Patterson, who gave an awesome speech cleverly disguised as a committee report. I wish all of you could have been there to hear it. When the "Proceedings" come out in a couple of years (!) it will contain a transcript of his "report".
