I have some US Flags, flown here at Kandahar, in full view of the enemies of Freedom. If your lodge would like to have one of these flags, with a certificate of authenticity, please let me know.

Just let me know your US mailing address. I will get a flag, have it run up the pole here, (usually about 5 minutes), and the Army will create a certificate of authenticity, with the date, and signed by the commander. Then I mail it to your lodge. The cost of the flag is about $17, plus postage. Delighted to do this for you.

Once you get the flag, it is yours to do with as you wish. Most lodges do not expose the flag, to the weather. Some get a display case to hold the flag. One lodge in Mass, has the flag on their altar.

For the record: I am a CIVILIAN technician, working in Afghanistan. I do not want any confusion, nor anyone thinking that I am a soldier. I served in the US Air Force, 1973-1978, and I was honorably discharged. I am proud of my military service, but I am now way too old and too fat, for military service. I consider it an honor to work with our fine soldiers and Marines. (The US Navy is in charge of the project I am on). But I am not fit to wipe their shoes. Please, do not assume, that because I work in Afghanistan, that I am a soldier. Thanks.

Brother, I am a First Sergeant in the Army assigned to recruiting duty here in Iron Mountain Michigan, the UP, and I am a Tesas mason. Many of the brothers here are veterans. I was recently installed as the new master for the ensuing year. I would love to be able to present a flag to the lodge as a Texas Mason to hang and remember the military contributions to our nation and our lodges. Thanks

Bro Martin, forgive me for being quick to reply and forget about the expense of sending one. I will gladly send you the cost of the flag and the shipping. It will be cased nicely and hung within the lodge so that there is always a remeberence of the sacrifices that Soldiers and masons make on our behalf everyday. Just let me know through the email: anthony.richter@usarec.army.mil and if you need anything else please let me know and I will do my best to get it to you. Been there! Thanks

Flags are sent on the honor system. I will mail the flag to you, and there will be a note, with my wife's address. Just send her a check, for the flag and postage (about $17 for the flag, and $3 for postage). Do not send any payment, until you actually have the flag in your possession. I have found that this is the best way to go. I am working 12 hour night shifts, 7 days a week now, so when I go back on day schedule I can send some flags.

Hello sir, I'm out here at FOB Shank myself and would LOVE to deliver one of these flags to the King Solomon Lodge #1427 in Temple, TX. I am in the process of petitioning them and they have gone out of there way to help me. I would love to get a flag like this and put it and the certificate in a case for them to hang in the lodge as a token of my appreciation. I will send you any payment necessary. Thank you sir!

BUMP- If anyone wants a US Flag flown in Afghanistan:

1- Send me an email or PM with the exact name of the lodge (or individual) for the dedication. Example: "Hiram Lodge #1, Dallas Texas"

2- I need the exact mailing address.

3- The flag is sent on the "honor system". When you get the flag, send my wife a check or money order for the amount of the flag plus postage. Do not send any payment, until you actually have the flag in your possession.

Bro Charles, I have a favor to ask of you? Not too sure if you can assist or not. I have a very close friend at FOB Lagman (SPC Barta in 8th Eng BN), according to him they lost their internet a few weeks back (not sure of the circumstances) he needs a whole mess of Cat 5 wire and Cat 5 connectors, he needs to get 80 of them not too sure about the length so if you know how to get your hands on some maybe you can assist. Robert is not a Mason, me and him have known each other for over 20 years, he had an eighteen year break in service and decided to rejoin last year, this guy is a stud, lol. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks (o:
