Our cable provider here just started offering 50mbps lines. I am trying to talk my wife into getting it. So far not working out so well.

Right now I can only dream. She keeps giving me some line about priorities or something. I'm not real sure what she is talking about. I mean a 50mb line seems like a priority to me.

Don't complain about speeds guys. The only way I can get Internet is on my iPhone. A law in the early 20th century insured that rural customers received mail, phone and electricity. There is no incentive to give us connectivity at all.

Y'all can't get air card service there? We have AT&T (sucks), Sprint (what I use), & Verizon (wife's) in our area. It's not DSL but it's way better than dial-up.

We can get aircard, but the speeds are the same as our iPhones. Unlimited bandwidth with a small screen or pay for bandwidth with an aircard. So far we are using iPhones.

I feel ya brother I'm in the same boat as you are! If it wasn't for my iPhone and when I go to work I wouldn't have Internet! and satellite Internet (hughes net or wild blue) SUCKS!

I know what you mean about the internet. I don't complain about speed because when I was in the Navy and underway we had something called INMARSAT and it had a tendency to make dial-up look like a T-1 line.
