Thoughts of a former "Nayson"

Hello all, I'm Brandon, my partition has been accepted, and I am waiting for my initiation date here in Maine. As such I wanted to share my thoughts on a few things and how I have come to see the "light". I could be what you call a "Nayson"(love that term) in recovery. My knowledge of Masonry comes from my study of things considered "conspiracy theories" and my Religion, Hermeticism. While some things considered as conspiracy theory are In fact very true and provable, such as the U.S. Government planning to kill Americans as a pretext for war (see Operation Northwoods/The Northwoods Document) and a world steering body with NWO Asperations(see Bilderberg Group and EU policy) I have also learned much of the personalities and values (not the rituals, left them out, out of respect) of Freemasonry. What I have learned is that yes Freemasonry and this shadowy cabal do often meet, Freemasonry and it's strait and true foundations and rock solid morals and values are often opposed to this Group and there ideas/ideals. Freemasonic beliefs of freedom, honesty, truth, rule of law and good citizenship are pure and God given, destroying the darkness this group seek to spread over people. 33rd degree Freemason and one of my favorite authors Manley Palmer Hall said it best when he said, in the end the Mystery Schools, of which Freemasonry descends, are the last line of defense of these same pure Ideals and beliefs. 33rd degree Freemason Albert Pike put it very well in the first chapter of Morals and Dogma, discussing the Working tools of the EA as the Force and Rule in Government. As far as worshipping "lucifer" that is true in a way, as anyone who has studied that term knows. To cut a long study short Lucifer=knowledge to the ancient people's of the world. "There is no knowledge that is not power" said a very gory video game and it is completely true, I think this is why some fear and hate Freemasonry as they do as it helps you gain both. Practical skills and knowledge, giving them power over themselves and their life in this world, is but a natural consequence to one who never stops there Masonic Journey. To one who knows nothing but bondage to "The Man" that could seem a very scary thing indeed.

With that I ask your honest feedback and look forward to calling you all "Brother" some time soon.

Parting on the Square,
Brandon

I will agree that knowledge is power. Knowledge gives us the power to decide what we do with our lives whether to make an impact or not. It helps guide our feet on the path of good to help those that are less fortunate than ourselves. Without knowledge we are no better than the rocks of the field. I think what scares most people about Freemasonry is their lack of knowledge. There are a lot of people out there that their only exposure to the Fraternity is through shows on the History Channel and such. These tend to portray us as a bunch of shadowy figures who lurk about in dark rooms and alleys trying to figure out our next move in our rise to fame, fortune, and power. While this couldn't be further from the truth the common person in their living room doesn't know this and it makes for very fertile ground for the conspiracy theories to take root and flourish. I actually had a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday at lunch about this kind of thing. While he doesn't believe the hype spewed on YouTube he also doesn't know much about US either. Like he said to me, if a person would take just one second and use a little common sense they would see that most of what is put forth is rubbish. He also said for a group that has been around for so long and trying to take over the world we need to work on our efficiency because that is a long time to work on something and not get a lot accomplished.

peace out

Brandon,

Many men know how to fire a rifle efficiently. It's the Army which puts their talents to use.

So it is with Freemasonry and morality.
