I was wondering if there is a brother that has recently taken the test or is about to take it, or is already a P&C agent that might be able to help with one on one tutoring or advice.

When I took mine years ago, Kaplan Financial Education - kfeducation.com I bought a CD practice exam which helped me more than the book. Apparently Kaplan bought them out "Dearborn/Lenonards" which I want to say I paid for the CD it was 70 dollars. They now charge 80.00 for four months of online study to prepare for the test.
