Apron

We here at Army Lodge 1105 had a raffle for a replica of it. They are nicely done. Check out our website armylodge1105.org for pics and info. I think it's a great item with lots of history.

Nice site.

Like the replica apron too.

I wish the Grand Lodge that I'm under would allow such beautiful and symbolic aprons to be worn...

I know what you mean Bro. Blake. At this moment it doesn't do me any good since I am an officer of the Lodge I am stuck wearing the officer apron. Some of the ones I see some of the older Brothers wear on degree nights are awesome.

A lot of masons visit Washington DC and want to see the House of the Temple there, but the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania is every bit as good a tour and thought by many to be better. I was blown away when I visited. Its in Philadelphia.
Not only is Bro. Washington's apron there but so is Bro. Lafayette's.

The House of the Temple has a very extensive collection of Royal Arch coins. You'll have to go through York Rite to get one.

I visited the PA Grand Lodge, Temple, and Museum last week. Got to see the real deal...behind glass of course. Also saw Ben Franklin's sash.

I think the best part was that I got to hold and read an actual book printed by Benjamin Franklin, the first Masonic book printed in the colonies....Anderson's Constitutions.

The tour, the rooms, the entire building is magnificent but nothing beats holding and actual piece of history in your hands.
