Coupla good cheap cigars

Being a retired guy, and a cheap bastidge to boot, I'm always trolling for good cheap cigars. It's easy to find good cigars and it's easy to find cheap cigars, but the marriage of those two qualities can be elusive. They are out there and I wanted to pass this along. Free Cuba Robustos and Pirate's Gold Big Boys Pyramide #3 maduro and natural.

I picked these up from an online retailer a coupla weeks ago and, wow, these are good cheap smokes! Here's the details: Free Cuba Robustos, hand rolled long filler Dominican/Nicaraguan, Connecticut shade wrapper, mild to medium. I've smoked many of these. Most are tasty but you will prolly have 1 or 2 stinkers in the batch, but for a buck a stick, who cares? Fifty 5x50 cigars all for $50. I recommend these.

The Pirate's Gold Big Boys are just that. Big ring guage and big flavor. I got one bundle of maduro and one natural, which is pretty dark...I think it's Ecuadorian Sumatra. I got the Pyramide #3 advertized as a 5x50 pyramid. No, no, no...those suckers are at least a 54 ring and they are gooooood. Twenty cigars for 22.50. Holy crap, I'm in cheap cigar heaven! Again, recommend. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em!

Here's a point of reference for the Free Cuba cigars. They taste like Travis Club Senators. I like the Senators, but the Free Cubas are about 30 bucks cheaper.

I had their torpedo's two years ago and they were not so good. For the price I am willing to give the Robustos a shot.

I have been digging the CI Copper Labels. They are way different, flavored with molasses and really good. Only 60 or so bucks for the box. Just a few bucks a stick.

That doesn't sound half bad Cliff. Molassas is good on biscuits, so it's gotta be good on cigars! :)
