The annual "Cave Degree" is has finally come back around. Blazing Star Lodge from Marble Falls, TX will be conferring a Master Mason's Degree deep inside the cave at Longhorn Caverns just outside of Burnet, TX. It is a pretty neat experience. You can see the official flyer for the event at Valley Lodge #175's Facebook Page: Welcome to Facebook - Log In, Sign Up or Learn More The date and time are below, and there is a small map on the flyer. Let me know if you have any questions.

September 29, 2012
Dinner at 5:00 p.m.
Degree at 6:30 p.m.

That sounds like an incredible atmosphere for the MM degree. Well done, I wish I knew of something similar in Southern California. I do recall once hearing of a similar setting in Arizona, I believe. I like the idea of outdoor degrees. Certainly makes the Tyler's job more interesting, no?

I am still going to try to make it down there still. Some things around here with the job are not going so well so we will see what happens.

No worries, Brother. I hope everything clears up up there for ya. If you can't make it down, I'll be sure to message you or post on here about what a great time that you missed haha Jk

In Georgia we have the Quarry Degree where the Masters Ceremony is conducted in the pit of a stone quarry in full form. It is this coming weekend as a matter of fact. Has drawn hundreds in the past.

Brothers,
I attended the Cave Degree last fall and took three brothers in the car with me. It was great and I will be hauling another carload of Brothers this year!

I am not going to make it this year, but I have an opportunity that has risen that may ultimately lead to me being more involved in Texas Masonry ;)

If so I will be making more of these events.
