Tomorrow night myself an two other brothers will be proving our aprons, I have the work memorized word for word and so do they. I can't wait to be of more use to the lodge.

Could you enlighten us a little more on what "proving your apron" is? I'm not sure we have that in Texas.

Before you can take a chair you must show that you are proficient in the degree, reciting your OB and questions from the east.

I'm in Ontario Canada, Merritt lodge #168, Grand Lodge of AFAM in Canada in the province of Ontario. We don't have PHA up here.

Thx brothers, also next month I'll be going for my mark master degree. These last few months I've been busy with freemasonry, I wish it could be like that all the time!

That sounds similar to what has been explained to me regarding becoming a lodge officer in Texas, but it's got a different name. I think it's just called "proficiency". There's a resolution before the upcoming Grand Lodge to exempt Past Masters from doing this.
