Howdy!

I will be traveling to Galveston,Texas on February 15th and 16th to attend the Spring Reunion of the Galveston Valley Scottish Rite.

I am looking for a hotel or motel to stay in. If any brothers have any recommendations on where to stay please let me know.

Best,
Bro. Jerry Johnston

Depending on your budget, the Tremont house is within walking distance of the Scottish Rite Temple, and is a beautiful historic hotel. THere are many many hotels on the Island, and most of them are fine. If you want to stay on the Seawall, The Galvez is another beautiful historic hotel, and the San Luis is excellent as well. There are also a number of "chain" hotels like Holiday Inn, Hilton, and Hamilton that will also be fine, and probably a little less expensive. Another option is to rent a condo for the weekend. Since Mardi Gras ends that week, it should be off peek, so you shouldn't have any issues finding rooms. Feel free to pm me if you need more assistance. I work in Galveston, so I am here everyday and will be glad to help.
