Any brothers collect masonic pins or trade them? Curious to see if this is a popular activity. I have a few i wear on rotation and when not in use they look nice on a shelf.

Interesting. Never thought of this before. I only have a single pin so not much to trade here.

Our Grand Masters tend to have pins made for their year, so collecting them is almost as popular as collecting hot-air balloon pins (don't ask, it can be worse than crack).
Unfortunately, many Brethren feel they need to wear the entire collection. At all times.

I only have two that were given at my raising and are unique to my lodge and Fort Worth Valley respectively. Beyond those, if I get any more I'm up to trade. Personally I'd rather trade coins.

I try to. But I have a habit of pulling them off my lapel and giving them to visitors from other jurisdictions.

Saturday morning a fellow Worshipful Master from the Commonwealth of Kentucky showed up for our stated meeting at Billy W. Tinsley Lodge No. 1458. I was pro tempro in the East and gave him my Grand Master's pin.

We made a day of it though. After lodge we ran down to the Shrine Temple for the Grand Master's conference, got him a picture with the Grand Master and a chance to shake hands with 40-50 brothers and topped the day off by running over to Holland Lodge No. 1 to take a few pictures of the facade and the statues in the entry way.

He had a good time! Those are the wages of a Master Mason brethren.
