Sheppard Air Force base in Wichita Falls, Tx

Hmmmm. By simple number, with that many airmen stationed there, you know there must be a considerable number of Masons too. Try this. Contact the Grand Secretary of Texas and get the name of some local lodges in the Wichita Falls area and get the names for the local lodge Secretary. Contact them...

Purchasing and wearing your own apron.

The main reason I usually don't wear my fancy apron is that it is a dirt magnet and the dry cleansers charge me almost $25 to get the spaghetti sauce stains out.

Not any more. That was 40 years ago. There are several lodges in town. None on base as far as I know. Military lodges are kind of rare because the government will not fund building repairs and such. The old lodge at Ft Leavenworth has been kept up by the members.

Weird orders & rituals under Freemasonry?

I always wondered if the Rite of Memphis was like Scottish Rite where they actually convey 4 or 5 Degrees and kinda tell you about the rest. Those missing AASR Degrees are really quite special when you actually get a chance to see them all. The Valley in Guthrie, OK does an excellent job of...

Purchasing and wearing your own apron.

It depends on the Lodge and the traditions. I am a member of a Traditional Observance Lodge that has in its bylaws that only plain, unadorned white aprons will be worn by its members. This is so all members appear as equals. We have 2 past Grand Masters, several current GL Line members and...

I spent 14 months at Shepherd Airplane Patch. I try not to think about it.

    What does Freemasonry offer?

The initiatic experience of Freemasonry, if conveyed precisely as stated in our ritual, contains all the elements necessary for candidates to attain an understanding of Masonic Light, even when those providing the Degrees do not themselves fully understand this. Ritual does not easily give up...

    What Degree Is Your Tyler?

Sure makes you wonder how in the "old days" they ever got a new Lodge started. I have seen the minutes from 1867 when our Lodge formed, and it appears they had to bring in a few Masons from Missouri in order to have enough MM present to convene and receive a Charter.

    Putin a Mason?

He certainly qualifies as a Ruffian.

    What Degree Is Your Tyler?

The Kansas By-laws require all Lodge Officers to be Master Masons before they can hold office or be appointed to any office or committee.

    Geometry and Character

Do you think there may be some connection between the shadow stick and the rods Deacons and Wardens carry. This has something I have been researching but have not reached any conclusions as to their relevance to Masonry.

    Paying a Master His Wages

Brother Jason Eddy strikes me as one of the younger Masons that "gets it." He contributes much to the Craft.

    Anyone Attending Warden's Retreat Corpus?

You should hold this in February when the Red Snapper are biting.

Is Operative Freemasonry compatible with Speculative Freemasonry?

To get back to the original question of compatibility: A few years ago I was in DC for Masonic Week. Weather permitting, I always explore around the various landmarks. When I visited the Washington National Cathedral there was some minor construction work going on and the 3 main stonemasons...

    Lucifer and Satan

This is great! Not only am I chastised for not quoting the entire Book of Isaiah, I also get accused of blasphemy and playing with paper dolls. HOW BROTHERLY of you. There are ways for Bothers to discuss and to disagree and yet maintain Masonic decorum. This is not it. Most people come to...

    Lucifer and Satan

All scripture is interpretation and translation. I am the first one to freely admit that what I posted is the same interpretation from translation. Were you asking me for the Bible quote of the Pike quote? Isaiah 14:12-14King James Version (KJV) 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer...

    Lucifer and Satan

They didn’t tell me when I became an Entered Apprentice. They didn’t tell me when I became a Fellow Craft. They didn’t tell me when I became a Master Mason. They didn’t tell me when I became a Royal Arch Mason. They didn’t tell me at Council, Chapter or Commandary. They didn’t tell me when...

    Lucifer and Satan

Albert Pike wrote hundreds of books and papers, tens of thousands paragraphs and millions of words. Idiots like Alex Jones try and use one single paragraph he wrote as "proof positive" that all Masons are unknowingly having their spiritual wi-fi hijacked by Satan. The paragraph in question makes...
