    PHA visitation

This is the first I have heard of a PHA Lodge that cannot trace its lineage to the Premiere Lodge of England. The type of Lodge you describe, based on my experience, would represent an anomaly in PHA Freemasonry.

    PHA visitation

I'm not aware of MWPHGL witholding recognition from a corresponding GL in any state. That being the case, you would be welcomed as a Brother at any PHA Lodge.

    Regarding PHA members

The history of Prince Hall Freemasonry is the History of Black America. RWM Absalom Jones is the first African American Priest in the World Wide Anglican Communion, establishing St Thomas African Episcopal Church (my church) as the first free Black congregation in the U.S. in Phila., PA, 1792...

Shriners, Scottish Rite or York Rite

This answer to the question is both challenging and highly nuanced. Assuming I grasp your underlying premise, I will share that I have met several Muslim and Jewish Freemasons who have chosen not to progress beyond the Lodge of Perfection in the SR or the Council in the YR. Here's an...

The Color Red is historically significant for Early Africans in the Americas. It is the color of the Yoruba Orisha, Shango - The Protector/Warrior. The initiation experience of his society is widely believed to have been the only one of its type to survive the middle passage. As such, it...

Whose Volume of Sacred Law "counts"?

...Interested to learn what "standards" are operating in Lodges where the majority of our Brothers are not Christian. Does the cultural ethos of the nation influence practice and/or assumptions in any way? Freemason Connect Mobile

    Dating an Eastern Star..

Requirements vary state by state, year by year. I've seen OES require the bloodline, then go "open bloodline," then close the requirement again, in Ohio (PHA). Freemason Connect Mobile
