Wow. This is amazing. There is no correlation to branding in Prince Hall masonry, this is totally unacceptable and not something Prince Hall masons practice. IDK why they would do such a horrible thing considering in masonry we do not haze because we are an honorable and noble institution. Smh...
I can tell you for a fact that there are only one or two PHA Lodges and or GLs that are AF&AMs. If you run across any more than that, it's more than likely bogus.
So the SR lodge ended up being BOGUS. The lodge was allegedly founded in 1979 but the GL 2004. WTH??? They're claiming SR affiliation but I seriously doubt that too.

Brothers,
Are they're any bros here that are PHA near Atlanta? I have two bros, one who is a PHA FC who will be raise this weekend and will move to Atlanta shortly afterward. Another bro is a FC in a Scottish Rite lodge (we haven't determined if it's bogus or not yet) who is looking for a home...
I agree with brother Regis. You have to understand that at that time slavery was the norm. We give honor to many men not just in masonry who owned slaves. Did you ever consider the actual free black men who owned slaves as well during that time in history? Knowing this how can you judge?

Re: What would you recommend as a first reference
The craft and it's symbols is a great book for newly made masons. Many bros always recommend this book so I picked it up. It explains the blue lodge in better terms than most books I've read.

To touch on the brother's question of the baphomet, it didn't come from the taxil hoax. Leo taxil attached the picture that was drawn a few years prior and associated it to baphomet and masonry. The word baphomet was first used during the trial of the Templars. King Philip IV of France accused...
All of you forget that one of the largest parts of Masonic history are modes of recognition and being able to identify a non-mason. Do you honestly believe that we cannot come up with something modern to identify a true mason? Even corporations have authentication protocols for its employees...
The debate about clandestine is WHO is clandestine and who isn't. I admit it wouldn't secure the site 100%. That would be nearly impossible, however it would reduce the number of impostors significantly. I bet I can contest the authenticity of your Dutch certificate.
What you are saying is irrelevant as far as clandestine. Yes they do have travel cards and although their lodges are deemed irregular they're ritual not so much. I am referring to non-masons. Clandestine is debatable. As far as a grand lodge seal, who is going to spend money on a seal just to...
I would suggest to the moderators to AT LEAST have and open part of the site and a secure one for REAL Masons. Since we can upload pictures, why not have new members upload a pic of their MM certificate or a traveling card, as all true masons have one. I'm sure they're aren't many duplicates out...
This is exactly the issue I was talking about with this forum. Here is this guy asking a question as if he is a mason and not at the very least a candidate, yet here you are having "Masonic intercourse" with a Cowan. Although I value his honesty about not being a mason I feel we are too ready to...
Also all discussion of what goes on inside of a lodge is NOT suppose to be discussed outside of it, especially when it's cloudy. To speak of dues or how you open a lodge is considered Masonic intercourse. Have respect for your lodge, your jurisdiction, it's rules laws and edicts, it's bylaws...
I am aware of everything you guys have said, however I really didn't like the fact that someone could google me asking other brothers for help in finding a home for a potential candidate. No it is not degree or monitor work yet it is still Masonic business and I really have a problem with others...
