2012 Grand Lodge Ladies' Activities

This includes entrance of Grand Lodge Officers and introduction of Distinguished Guests, presentations to the Grand Master, Greetings from various affiliated bodies, Grand Lodge Awards: W. B. and Brandon Carrell Humanitarian Award, Sam Houston Medal, William M. Beck Award, Vanguard Lodges Awards, Masonic Service Awards.


[h=3]Friday, December 7, 2012[/h]Leaving at POETS, PASTA AND PONIES TOUR

9:30 AM Cost: $30/per person
First stop: Visit to the Armstrong Browning Library on the Baylor campus
This is a guided tour and should last about 1-1/2 hours. The library is a research center dedicated to the study of the lives and works of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. You won't want to miss the magnificent architecture and the 62 stained glass windows that adorn the building. Don't miss the Wedgewood!
Next stop: Lunch at Portofino Italian Restaurant Authentic Italian-fare. Choice of lasagna or chicken fettucine
Next stop: Visit a working Arabian Horse farmTour the facilities and see some of the horses perform.

Leaving at WILDLY POPULAR EXCURSION TO SALADO, TEXAS

10:00 AM Cost: $30/per person
First stop: Lunch at the historic Stage Coach Inn Dining Room
First opened in the early 1860's, the inn was a welcome place for travelers on the Chisholm Trail. Restored and reopened in 1945. Enjoy the food and quaint décor.
Next stop: Salado's Famous Christmas Stroll Through Main StreetMain Street and vacinity is a lively marketplace with over 60 shops and artist's galleries. The beauty of Christmas is brought to life in the Village of Salado. Enjoy shopping and strolling as you wind your way through decorations and lights. [h=3]Saturday, December 8, 2012[/h]9:00 AM COFFEE AND FRIENDSHIP
There will be a coffee honoring Ms. Vicki Quesada, First Lady of Texas Masons 2012 and Mrs. Ardith Rogers, incoming First Lady of Texas Masons 2013. All ladies are welcome to come by and visit in the Lower Level of the Grand Lodge building.
10:00 AM NOVELTY SWEATER CONTEST
Come and model your favorite novelty sweater for prizes. Bring a write up telling us a little story about the sweater. We'll let the ladies in the audience vote for their favorite! Please send me an email letting me know if you are interested in participating. vicki.quesada@halliburton.com
2:00 PM OPEN INSTALLATION OF 2013 GRAND LODGE OFFICERS
