*** NOTE - I Also posted this in the Refreshment Lounge area to increase exposure and not knowing the best place to put it. ***

Brothers, I am kind of between a rock and a hard place, especially with timing. Part of what I have been doing is working to set up a non-profit that takes my fellow Texas OIF/OEF veterans on mountain expeditions to summit peaks. Recently, I ran into a man from the Green Beret Foundation that asked me and a buddy to come along and help them take a handful of wounded and non-wounded veterans on an expedition to climb Gannett Peak in Wyoming in early August.

All as good until about five days ago when the two primary donors that were responsible for purchasing the gear and equipment for the veterans had to suddenly drop out. I have taken it upon myself to try and raise funds to acquire the gear to equip each veteran with what they need for the climb. Make no mistake, this is an arduous climb in an alpine environment, and not just some car camping trip to the local State Park, so the cost of the gear we need gets expensive.

I created a GoFundMe campaign to raise as much as we could as quickly as possible as we leave on the 5th of August. The Green Beret Foundation does have a 501(c)3 for those that contribute a lot, or businesses looking to write the contribution off on taxes. A quick donation of $20, $50, or whatever amount is always a help. Sharing the link to the GoFundMe to your Facebook pages, as well as amongst other brethren, friends, and family directly is also just as much of a help.

Please, take a look at the GoFundMe campaign, and hopefully it will encourage you to donate. If you have any questions, please let me know! Thanks for reading.

Right now I am using my iPhone 6+, and I don't see anything of the sort.

The only thing I can think of is that in my signature block I listed all of my affliliatioms. At the time
I did it, you could use the symbol for "degrees", which would have made it "32nd degree", referring to my Scottish Rite.

But everything seems so different in here now, I imagine the way some of us did it isn't supported anymore because we had to do a certain thing or two to get it done, like the three dots in a triangle.

Yea, I have no idea what that "A" is doing there. It used to not be there at all. Thanks for pointing that out, though. I just went and got rid of it.

Well, just and update on my GoFundMe, I started the day off with $650 that was donated, and now I am up to $4375 that was donated. People really got behind this thing really fast. Even though I am only halfway there, I am super excited. https://www.gofundme.com/helpvetsclimbgannettpeak
