Sounds like you enjoyed it ? Highlights ?
Sure!
At this specific event, I covered the highlights of two specific books, although I mentioned four in total.
Initially I mentioned chapters ten out of
Building Ruffish and
Building Cement to address the word "Cowan" and how it has been coopted and redefined by the Craft.
The third book was
Building Free Men, which addresses some of the words we use as a fraternity that don't mean within it what they originally meant when first used and the impact that Light should have upon our work and us. It also included some of the build up to my discoveries. This research laid the foundation for the next book,
The Craft Unmasked! The Uncommon Origin of Freemasonry and Its Practice.
This was the last book focus of the talk which addressed several themes, of which included:
1) What we say we do
2) What we actually do
3) What our lore claims
4) What history claims
5) What we need to be focusing upon as a fraternity to assure what we do doesn't get done in futility and create disgruntled and disappointed members who leave and never return.
There was a tremendous turnout, many Eureka moments for those who attended and many circles of discussion afterward.
Good Times for sure!
