Emblems of Innocence and Honor: The Masonic Apron

Pat Craddock (The Craftsman's Apron, Franklin, TN) is an artist who creates beautiful hand-painted Masonic aprons in the style of the 18th century. This video is part of a new, upcoming exhibit at the Henry Wilson Coil Library & Museum of Freemasonry in San Francisco that will also feature the Museum's Adam Kendall, along with Aimee Newell (National Heritage Museum in Lexington, MA).

I have seen some of the aprons that are being shown. Just some absolutely beautiful work. I've always meant to ask what my GL's stance is on decorated aprons. I'd love to make my own, but all I've seen in Lodge personally are Past Master's aprons decorated more ornate than regular MM. Does Texas have hard and fast rulea regarding such or is it up to each man, himself?
