Texans vs. Cowboys Tailgate Cook-off
Are you ready for some football? Think you can out cook some of the best tailgaters in Texas? Or do you just want to have fun? Fairbanks Masonic Library and Museum will be holding it’s first cook-off of the season Sunday, September 26, 2010. Categories and submission times are:
Open appetizer 11:00
Wings 11:30
Burgers 12:00
Chili 12:30
Beans 1:00
There will be an entry fee of $15 per category or $50 for all five. The Grand Champion will receive a free entry into our Second Annual SUPERBOWL Cook-off. Certificates will be presented for all category winners and honorable mentions. Scoring will be based on a 10 point system for each category with 100% of the score for taste (we don’t care what it looks like as long as it tastes good). Decision of the head judge is final. You may prep your ingredients in advance, but we ask that all cooking is done on site. No electricity will be provided. You will be responsible for the actions of your team at all times. The head cooks meeting will be 8:00 a.m. the morning of the event. We look forward to seeing you there.
