I wonder how far he could have gone if he would have used one of those winged sky diving suits?

He was like 14 seconds shy of the record, but he got the record for highest ascent in a balloon. He literally was at the edge of the atmosphere and space and then he lost control for a bit, thankfully he gain it back.
