Italy government ends Vatican tax exemptions

    Interesting. I've wondered if the same thing would ever happen in the US.

    "The same thing" already exists in the USA. Churches are not 100% tax exempt. If a church in the USA owns a for-profit enterprise that is not used for religious purposes, it is already taxed, as far as I know. This is all that Italy has done.
