Jesus was not a Freemason, but would it have been nice if he were..?

Happy Christmas to all freemasons around the world and may 2020 bring health and happiness to you and your families.

Don’t think anyone is asserting that he was.

I suppose to some of us, you could argue that he’s the Grand Master of the Celestial Lodge above.

Technically JESUS, GOD AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE INDIVIDUAL IDENTITIES.

If we can believe the religious accounts, Jesus did not baptise anyone but did perform one raising.

Just because you don’t belong to my Grand Lodge doesn’t mean your not a Mason.

As a note, this person is not a PM in UGLE. He left prior to the end of a year in office, and under the BoC does not qualify. He has been corrected on this before.

Seems like a pretty serious issue if a Brother is falsely claiming status as a Past Master.

And to the original point of the post, I can see the appeal of wanting a central figure of your faith to be a Freemason. I can look to King Solomon from my religion as a Grand Master of our Order even if it confers no preference on Judaism because of it.

Why the requirement to try and shoehorn your religion into it..

We should all be able to look to our Faith to find the Tenets of Masonry, without exception.

What's the difference between individual identities and individual entities?

    Yet...

I suppose he wasn't a Freemason (or mason in the non-builder sense) however some Christians subscribe to the belief that, similarly to blue lodges, he did make masons.

The Ancient Greek noun tektōn (τέκτων) is a common term for an artisan/craftsman, in particular a carpenter, wood-worker, mason, builder, teacher, or engineer.

Jesus taught his students the primary rules of loving God above all else, and loving others as they loved themselves.

His teachings are often called the "beatitudes" and focus on love and humility.

    Similarities? I vote "yes".
