Lincoln, NM

Many of you remember Lincoln, NM from Billy the Kid or the Lincoln County wars. One of the rivial factions actually had a Masonic Lodge upstairs. The Lodge is still in use, although they only meet once a year. Originally, the only way to access the Lodge room was via a Ladder which I assume was to keep non-Masons prying eyes out.

You can see the ladder on the back of the building leading up to the Lodge.

That's pretty cool. I will have to go there to try to check it out next time I head to NM to see family. Thanks Bro. Blake.

Great post!

I really like the old decor. Seems to have a different feel or atmosphere. Maybe I should say it has a different personality or character.

Another Great post indeed.

Some of our Lodge rooms still look that way...

There's a lot of Masonic history buried in the Lincoln County War. A gent from Britain was just here asking questions, learning about the "Santa Fe Ring" and it's tie-in with Billy.
