I've heard nothing but bad reviews of it from both the religious and secular sides. The religious folks seem to think it wasn't religious enough, and the secular side just found it long and boring. The last review I read singled out Emma Watson's performance as having been "phoned in". Think I'll pass...

How "religious" can it be? Man hears voice of God, man obeys, job well done, the end. Anything beyond that is just glitter.

I watched about 45 minutes of it but when I saw the rock people I lost all interest in the film. It just became silly.

It followed Jewish history more so than westernized Christianity and of course Hollywood has to spice everything up a bit!
