PHL 33 deg.

I was told that in the Prince Hall Lodge you just paid for your 33 deg. Is this true?

As I understand, the reality is that it pretty-much works that way all over -- PHA or not. At least, that's ONE way to make 33. Of course, I'm not speaking from experience.

Not exactly true for SJ of the SR... if you ever ask to become KCCH you will never get it, without KCCH you will never get 33º, at least from my limited understanding of it.

Yes, you have to be in the KCCH for 48 months before you can be considered for the 33 honor.

I am not a SR mason, so I have no idea the process for getting into the KCCH outside of "great works for society and masonry".
