On 3 January 2012 I will be giving a presentation on the Egyptian
Masonic Rite of Memphis, it's origins, degrees, and how it is
continually used as scam within the Masonic community here in the
United States. This presentation is based off of the recent donations
made to Cornell University of the Egyptian Masonic History of the
Original and Unabridged Ancient and Ninety-Six (96) Degree Rite of
Memphis written in 1879, also the paper titled "The Spurious Rites of
Memphis and Miraim" written by Albert Pike and William L. Cummings in

International Masonic Scholars have also contributed to this
    presentation, these men include:

    Dr. S Brent Morris
    PM Patmos Lodge No 70
PM Quatuor Coronati Lodge No 2076 EC

    Br. Jack Buta
    P.M. Paradise Valley Silver Trowel # 29
    Scottish Rite Research Society
    Scientia Coronati Research Lodge
    Fellow Philalethes Society

    Br Tom Thorton
New Jersey Lodge of Research and Education

    Br. William H Magil
    Pennsylvania Lodge of Research

    Br. Jacques Huygherbaret
    Internet Lodge No 9659 EC

This is an open presentation and can be attended by anyone, it will be
at 7:30 pm in the Perfect Union #10 lodge room, at the Scottish Rite
    Cathedral, San Antonio, TX.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Would be very interested in having a copy of your talk for our collections here at Cambridge. A number of years ago we had donated a mint copy of a 1896 flyer sent out by the Memphis Rite to some Masonic Lodges. Not much is known about them, and even though they are not Masonic, it would be a great help in informing the brethren about this organization.

This education piece was very well received, I will be sure to post an update if I do it again.
