This thread should probably be in some other forum. It's really not about anti-Masonry.
I can't really speak for the states that still don't have mutual recognition, but I'm certain that there are vestiges of racism involved, and there are also undoubtedly some brothers who would be perfectly fine with having men of different races join their own lodge, but object to recognition on the basis of "territorial exclusivity" of Grand Lodges, in other words that any jurisdiction should only have one operating Grand Lodge. Those men would have no problem with a uniting of the "mainstream" and PHA Grand Lodges into one, but the racists would never want to recognize men of different races as Masons no matter what.
