It is still impressive when you look at it as a milestone event. The chariot was introduced over 4000 years ago and remained the most technologically advanced form of transport until the 1800s when the train was introduced. A mere 100 years after that, humans entered the powered flight age. Less than 60 years later humans went to space. And now just 60 years after that we have businessmen building their own suborbital craft and competing against other business tycoons to outdo each other to make our species a true space faring race. These are pretty amazing times.

What is sad is that NASA has been rocking since the 1960's until just recently. And now we can't redesign something to get our space program back up and running???? And now we are relying on billionaires to get it going again ? Something is definitely rotten in Denmark.
