The Scottish Rite Research Institute-(Prince Hall Affiliation) is intended to be a research organization that studies Scottish Rite Freemasonry in general and Prince Hall Scottish Rite Freemasonry in particular.

It is connected to the Phylaxis Society, a Society for Prince Hall Freemasons Who Seek Light and Have Light to Impart.

The purpose of this group is to not only encourage further study of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, but to encourage further study of Prince Hall Freemasonry and to help create awareness of the Phylaxis Society and it's mission.

Members of this group are encouraged to research and write on topics relevant to Freemasonry, and especially Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

Papers written can be first posted to this forum for review and constructive criticism by your peers in Scottish Rite.

The Director of Scottish Rite Research Institute is Br. Eji Nwuke, MPS, of Colorado. He also serves as an Admin for this group.

    Admin for this group is:

Br. Raymond Walters, MPS, who is also a researcher and staff writer for Scottish Rite Research Institute (PHA) & Regional Representative to West Virginia and North Carolina.

    Br. Renaldo Kelly

This group is CLOSED. It can be found on Facebook.

Thank You, W. Bro. Walters.........I have quite a ways to go before I get to the Scottish Rite, but now that I know that you're involved with the Phylaxis Society, I will be sure to contact you when I'm ready to join and seek FURTHER LIGHT..........My immediate goal is the Royal Arch........I have to wait a little while until my babies get a little older, before I can devote more time to another House.....Vince Jr. will be 3 next month, and the Twins Damien and Ashlye are now 19 mos........I should be ready for the Red House by Summer........Once I complete the York Rite Degrees, I will tackle my studies for the Scottish Rite Degrees...................I always appreciate your insight and knowledge as it relates to Masonry. The BEST thing I did was get "healed" over to PHA in Aug 2010, my Brother............Thanks for the post..................VINCE

    Dear Br. Jones,
I can appreciate your statement & feelings regarding your small children. Learning how to use one's own 24inch guage and putting it to use are most important in the EA degree. Continue to utilize that lesson...

As for the Holy Royal Arch, it will be there when you feel ready. After all, having made suitable proficiency in preceding degrees prepares one to move on & shows the brethren that you are prepared also, so be mindful of that.

If I can give this word of CAUTION. Do not allow yourself to become dues-poor. It means do not become member of so many bodies that you expend so much money on organizations that your 24inch guage doesn't permit you to enjoy or attend the meetings thereof... just a thought I AM passing on.

    Take care Br. Jones
