It was with a great sadness we said goodbye to our long serving Brother Secretary yesterday, the uniting church was packed- there wasn’t even standing room in the hallway.
Heartfelt songs and hymns sung, many comical stories told and a touching tribute by the grandmaster- I’m sure our brother would have been embarrassed by all the fuss.
That unoccupied table in our north this coming month will be sorely felt (he has sent an apology), losing his prowess behind the pen and the organ is a tremendous loss but more than anything we will miss his smile, no matter the situation, he always kept his smile.
