It sounds like my introduction to Freemasonry. I was initiated and passed in a lodge on Okinawa under the Grand Lodge of the Philippines, and then transferred to Albany, Georgia.
Just wondering - are you the same Dennis Lamberth who (unsuccessfully) appealed a conviction for failure to provide proof of insurance in Walker County, Texas in 2019 on the grounds that the statute referred to the United States rather than the United States of America?
Looking at the Grand Lodge of Kuala Lumpur’s web site, I could see that he might be confused as to what is required to petition for the degrees. There is a link with the label “Become a Member” that collects contact information. He may have thought that was all that was required.
On the first page of this thread is listed the contact information for the grand lodge in Kuala Lumpur.

How long has it been since you petitioned? It may take a while for the lodge to have a meeting and assign a committee to investigate your request. If it has been a few months, you might contact the secretary of the lodge to find out the status.
