    MRF National Symposium Registration

We are good Brother. I love debate and hope that my response was taken in that context. Mental jousting is fun for me and I enjoy the Brothers who are willing to participate.

Brother Huw, Forgive me if I skip the formality of quoting you last post. We both know what we are talking about I would hope. I didn't say you were ill informed about Wilhmshurst, I just think we disagree. For instance, "beyond the mental horizon of the average Brother" is not a statement...

Wonderful Brother. It is important not to focus on "spooky" but to focus on meaningful. You should make certain that the person doing the shopping is well read on the practice.

Decisions..Decisions: York Rite or Scottish Rite?

If you are going to do the Scottish Rite and you are in North Texas I recommend going over to Guthrie Oklahoma and going through the SR there. They will let you stay in the temple in rooms for the purpose and nobody does a reunion like Guthrie. Someday Bob Davis and Jim Tresner won't be...

Brother Huw I don't want this thread to get to far off topic, but my recommendation would be to use the contacts links provided for lodge information. I don't think most lodges share indepth information online about their initiatic processes so you might have more luck by calling or using the...

St. John's is not a T.O. lodge because they switched models. They have operating in a "traditional" sense since 1757. There recognition by the MRF as a TO lodge is due to their operating procedures already in place.

I am certain that many here read the exchange with myself and Brother Huw. I didn't realize I had forgotten to post lodges with historical use of the CoR's. Brother Huw, Saint Johns Lodge No. 1 AYM, Garibaldi Lodge #542, some 6 or 7 French lodges under the Grand Lodge of NY in...

    MRF National Symposium Registration

Hey Huw....since this thread ended up as a back and forth between you and I....I posted my question..."What is authentic Masonry" among others on TSS if you have an account over there. I know many of the TSS'ers come here and several here come there.....so anyway, if you have an account its...

    MRF National Symposium Registration

Sounds good Brother. Incidentally, we are bringing in Freke to show that an educational program can be wide ranging and challenging without always being specifically "Masonic." We are likewise showing that just because a man is a NY Times best seller and lives on a different continent, does...

    MRF National Symposium Registration

:29: Brother Huw I think that flying Mr. Tim Freke from the UK is all I can swing and I think we can both admit I would be run out of town after your speech :-) It is clear we disagree, but that is likely, as it should be. Masonry provides many roads to Brotherhood and I think that the fact...

    No Masonic Friends

We go to lunch or dinner with the guy...if we like him we invite him to dinner for six months to a year. After this, if he has endeared himself to the Brothers, he petitions and is initiated.
