I'm not a fan of Neon. We could use a new "G" in Gonzales. Our current one looks pretty rough and has been there for at least half a century. Leaded/stained glass is expensive, but is so nice.
I just thought about Army Lodge in San Antonio. They have a light box built into the wall. Then they have interchangeable stained glass frames that fit into the box. One for the G, one for OES and I assume they have one for York Rite. I think if you have a lodge that is used for several functions, this is a great way to do it.
Have you tried a shop that teaches stained glass making? My mom was taking classes at one, and people would come in and ask if someone could make them something. That way you could design it yourself and with students doing it, it may keep the cost down.
