We're having to file a claim to get a slab leak repaired, luckily we've had a Wells Fargo Home Projects Card with a pretty high credit limit on it, so we won't have to pay out of pocket for the job, plus we're going to file a claim on our insurance for it as well, they'll pay for everything except the actual repair, which is only $249, it's the $750 to find the leak, $750 to break concrete, $500 to dig to the leak, etc etc that really adds up. Does anyone know if the insurance companies usually give you the check for repairs and just take the deductible out of the check they write, or do they expect you to pay the deductible, then they'll write a check later on. We have Germania, if that helps at all. We're calling customer service in the A.M. to find out for sure, trying to ease my worrying wife in the mean time.
