I personally do not have an issue with left-overs for any Lodge meeting. Of course my lodge has for the last several years well equipped Stewards, and we have eaten high on the hog...
If the budget for meals is super low, and the Stewards are paying out of pocket for a majority of the meal then I my self might opt for the left-over option. For example, OES, and YR Chapter & Council are pot-luck; left overs are a perfect option.
We have also recently had a FC Degree where we bought deli lunch meat and fixings for the Brethren, and had a LOT left over thus creating meals on nights we would not normally serve a meal, just to keep the food from wasting...
So, no I do not have a problem with left-overs at any occasion especially if they are good!!
