Masonic Regalia in Lodge

So I've been looking around and seeing all kinds of Masonic regalia for various degrees in appendent bodies. What I'm mainly seeing is references to their use in Europe. What are our (Texas and/or U.S.) traditions and rules for wearing breast jewels for degrees, past master, honorary jewels, etc. while in Lodge.

I guess an example would be that there are breast jewels for the Mark Master Degree. When would you wear something like that? Past Master is a little more obvious, and there would be specific rules for it.

I've heard it is only in Europe, but even then: when do they wear them (if anyone knows)?

In Canada as far as I know, there is no jewel for MMM degree, only a coin is given to the candidate. In the RAM degree we wear the interlaced hexagram which is the only appendant body jewel that is allowed to be worn in the craft lodge.

Not sure what you're asking. If I read your question correctly, the proper protocol (which is mainly observed in the breach) is that only Blue Lodge regalia is worn in the Blue Lodge and regalia of an appendant order is only worn in meetings of the appropriate order.

Within the respective body. The breast jewels are apparently a British thing. I'm still not clear as to when or why they would wear them. For instance, their Mark Master and Ark Mariner Degrees are governed by the same body. so when/why would you wear either one of the breast jewels to Lodge?

I guess I am trying to see if it is like us with lapel pins. Like you are showing your preference or respect for that degree that night. Or can you visit the Lodge as having received either degree and the breast jewel indicates which one you received (or both).

We don't wear them, so I am satisfied with the answers I received here. I'll post something if I learn anything else.

Speaking with a Scottish brother, it appears that there are strict rules about which jewels (from appendant groups) you can wear in Craft Lodges. It varies by Constitution (UGLE has different rules from GLoS). No one in my area seems to wear PM jewels, so I've ordered one for when I retire from the East. "Bringin' it back." ;)
