Should the NCAA football championship won on the field by Auburn University be revoked later by proven violations, who do you blame most for creating the situation?
I blame the NCAA. They purposely sit on things like this until the players and/or coaches have fled the NCAA leaving the school and it's current athletes to take the brunt of it for fear of losing revenue. They did it with Reggie Bush and USC. They waited until USC had a down year and Reggie Bush had long since left for the NFL to do anything on their investigation that lasted 5 years. That was a 5 year investigation after they were handed the smoking gun while Reggie was still a player. Other less known school that are investigated on reported alledged violations usually have action taken within a month or two.
The NCAA is now taking a closer look at the Cam Newton issue. Are they just working slowly or was there a monitary issue involved? Many are now questioning the integrity of the association.
