I might be on a soapbox, but does anyone feel as though it has become quantity over quality and that our brothers are racing through the degrees instead of serving a proper time as such?

I noticed that this has been brought up under the Texas thread. Here in Oklahoma our Grand Master, on the front page of the Grand Lodge website, stressed and continues to stress quality over quantity.

I think that *has* been the case, but the mentality trend is starting to reverse with younger members.

You should read some of Dwight L. Smith texts "Whither are we traveling?" and "Why this confusion in the Temple" - Talks about this exact problems that has been going on for years. But as Crono says there is a small glimmer of hope that the trend my be reversing...
