Has the new Pope addressed the issue the church has with Freemasonry since he was elected? Just an honest question, no debate intended.

No, and it would be unusual for a pope to make any major declarations within his first year holding the papal office.

HH Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI - then known as Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger and the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith - merely reaffirmed past Church teaching that involvement in Freemasonry placed a man in grave sin, and as such he may not receive Holy Communion. Read the letter 'Declaration on Masonic Associations'.
