Now that Avengers is behind us, what other movies should we be looking forward to this summer?
Prometheus (billed as a prequel to Alien) sounds promising. I've mostly tried to avoid trailers and spoilers for this movie because of my love for the original 2. (As far as I'm concerned, the others don't exist.)
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is both ridiculous...yet somehow strangely appealing.
Brave is Pixar's latest movie, and with the exception of Cars 2 they don't disappoint.
The Amazing Spider Man will probably be worth seeing, even though I have a hard time getting excited by yet another origin story.
The Dark Night Rises is supposedly the final chapter in this iteration of the Batman movies and the previous two did not disappoint.
The Expendables 2 follows up the surprisingly fun first movie and includes cameos by even more 80's action stars. What's not to love?
Total Recall might actually not be bad. Although I question the need for a remake, I could see how this time around they could make a movie with less cheese and more hard sci-fi. Still, the whole "is-he/isn't-he dreaming" is a tight balancing act and if the script and editing aren't super-tight then it's likely to fall flat.
Any other movies you think should be on the list? Or off?
