I don't think I've properly introduced myself

Brethren,

I've noticed that I don't think I've formally introduced myself on here. I feel it's only fair that you know me, since I am active and engage with many of you on here. So...

My name is Dave Spano. I was born in raised and continue to live in a small town named Welland, which is about 10 minutes from Niagara Falls in Ontario. I was born in Canada and I am of Italian descent. I was raised as a Roman Catholic, and attended catholic schools for my elementary and high school career. I attended Niagara College for Culinary Arts and worked as an apprentice under my Chef at Lookout Pointe Golf and Country Club. I am currently the Chef at Sparrow Lakes Golf Club. I play guitar, and the bass. I was in a few bands in high school, and currently do a Dave Matthews cover band with some friends. On my own time, I love to cook, especially BBQ. I love to smoke stuff.

As for my Masonic life, as I've stated on other threads, I was an anti. But I won't get into those details. Ive started to really travel this year, as I am a bit more confident. ( I never used to travel without another brother that I knew) My goal is to be able to travel to lodges in America and maybe meet some of you who have helped me get a better foot hold in my understanding of Freemasonry.

Like I said, I feel that it's only fair you guys know the person your engaging. And I look forward to future conversations and fellowship.

Thank you brethren.

Haha thx Crono. I love boar, especially when it's marinated in root beer!

Never heard of it being marinated in Root Beer. I wonder what it tastes like. I, also, am a cook, sort of. I had to learn to cook at an early age because I am the eldest of six children and both parents worked. I used to experiment with dinner. Sometimes it got me in trouble and sometimes not. Go figure! Thanks for the intro, though. It is nice to meet you. I have been in Ontario many times, though it has been a lot of years ago. I am an old truck driver that doesn't drive anymore. HaHa.

Pork and beef go great with root beer. Online to marinate ribeye steaks in them too.

Thanks for taking the time to post, and if your ever in Ontario again, don't be shy to look me up!

Even prisoners need to eat brother. What is the certification called for chef apprentice in the US?

We cooked brisket the other day in Dr. Pepper. Turned out really good!

I used to be a Corrections officer and I was stationed in the kitchen. I spent my day counting utensils and looking for hooch! Lol.

I tried smoking a turkey once. I could not find rolling papers big enough.

That's why they make butcher paper on such large rolls?! But you need a really big torch to keep it lit, or so they tell me! Hehe :)

ROOT BEER? Really???!! Hmmmmmm... Do tell !!!

Welcome Brother, it's a pleasure to converse with you here.

May the GAOTU Bless you through your travels.

Yours, in His service.

The Welland canal revolutionized shipping in the Great Lakes. I grew up bicycle distance from Niagara Falls on the US side.
