For the past seven months I have served as a squire in the Knights of St. Andrew. Last night I was knighted so now I am a knight in the Knights of St. Andrew. I am very much looking forward to my "knightly" duties.
Thank you Brother.Congratulations

The Knights of St. Andrew are a service organization within the Scottish Rite. It is primarily made up of of 32nd degree "black hats". We raise money for the Scottish Rite and charities. We also work Scottish Rite events doing whatever needs to be done and make sure that things run smoothly. We do have meeting of the Knights of St. Andrew and our meetings are held in the Scottish Rite Temple. In my group (Orient of Kentucky, Valley of Louisville) we meet one hour prior to the meal and then have the Scottish Rite meeting.I've heard of the Knights of St. Andrew, but don't know a whole lot about them, other than they greet members coming into the Reunions. Do they meet as a Lodge (or the equivalent)?
Correct.to be a 32deg black hat, I believe you also have to be invited, but its not like the red hat or white hat, you can ask for it.
I'm new to the AASR so I'm not sure about this. If you should decide to join the AASR please do check out the KOSA. I'm really believe that you would like it.I should find out if I need to join a southern lodge to join the SR in the SMJ.
\Im intrigued. Now I just need to join the SMJ Scottish Rite. I'm still a Wisconsin Mason, but my permanent residence is Florida now. I visit local lodges, but am not a member. I should find out if I need to join a southern lodge to join the SR in the SMJ.

Visited and book marked the page. Thank you Brother.\
Brother Milton, You will need to ask at the local Scottish Rite Valley if they require you to be a Florida lodge member or not. To join the KSA within that valley I'm sure your required to be a member of that Valley. That is a requirement here in Oklahoma. Some valley are by request and some by invitation only. Each chapter has their own rules and by-laws. The only national rule is that your a black cap member. There are no official supplies. equipment or dress code. I'd like to talk with you about the SR in Wisconsin please write me. My e-mail address is as follows: liaison@knightofstandrew.info This is a national KSA information page. Anyone interested in the KSA across the country should visit. You can add to it and please check your valley and KSA listing to see if it's up to date and the links are working. I'm also interested in obtaining the charter date and who did the chartering for you chapter. Thank you.

Congratulations Brother. I'm sure that you are going to love it.I hope to join soon. My sponsor is a member of KSA. He recently said I've been deputised. I figured he was joking but hopefully I'll get a petition soon.
