Alphonse Louis Constant was a Freemason. Initiated: 14 March, 1861 and was either suspended for non-payment or dropped from the roles on August 21, 1861 in Lodge Rose du Parfait Silence under the Grand Orient of France. He was a wildly successful occultist and interesting dude. I don't...
Eric the fact that you are drawn into these debates I do not believe the Craft will be right for you. I believe that you might be a good man and a loving man and a man who loves his God. That does not mean you will be comfortable as a Freemason. I think you should pray for comfort that...
The Secret Teachings is an encyclopedic volume, so it is not provided by Brother Hall as a definitive text of his beliefs or of Freemasonry. It is written as an encyclopedic volume of all things metaphysical from the fairly grounded to the fringe (trolls, etc.)
THE IMPORTANT THING ABOUT...
I think Pike was an extraordinary philosopher and there are no spoilers in M/D, its written more as a commentary of social, religious, philosophical and even political significance, but it does not "describe" York degrees or even Scottish Rite degrees.
Now Esoterika would be a big spoiler...
I think Masonry has evolved over the years and will continue to do so if it chooses to survive. But I don't understand why we believe that the Fraternity changing and the improvements of its members are mutually exclusive.
I would hazard that when Masonry was still meeting over taverns and...
If there is only one God how can humans change that reality by assigning to God different names.
It only makes sense that in different cultures and in different times God is known by different names.
We should worry less about what others call God and more about how we demonstrate a love for...
I am a founding member of a Traditional Observance lodge and can say without a doubt, it is one of the best experiences in my life. It was extraordinary and life changing to form the lodge and has been fulfilling ever since.
Recently I was put in as Marshal because our Brother Marshal is busy caring for a dying family member.
I am a PM, and current Chairman of Education for the GL.
Guys just an FYI...

Locate a local lodge in your area, find out their meeting times, introduce yourself around and then ask to join if you feel that you and the lodge are a good fit and they feel the same, you will receive a petition and the process starts from there.
Can I ask why you would like to join?
and...
Why can't he be both?
Just for the sake of discussion....when we read the canonical gospels we find Jesus reportedly referring to himself over and over again as the Son of Man....and provides evidence in some of his first miracles in the Gospel of Mark that it is the Son of Man who has power to...
I have been digging the CI Copper Labels. They are way different, flavored with molasses and really good. Only 60 or so bucks for the box. Just a few bucks a stick.
Well then you are in a good place Eric and I hope that your Masonic journey is an extraordinary one.
To the Muslim man asking about the Fraternity. I have sat in lodge in Muslim countries with rooms full of Muslim Brothers and here in Colorado with some Muslim Brothers. All good men with a...
This was published at The Relevant Mason
I sat and watched a man hold his little girl the other day. He was sitting next to his beautiful wife and he as fulfilled, happy, and enriched. He was also tired. Tired in the way that only a new dad can be.
I sat with that same Brother years...
I have been very much enriched by Scottish Rite Masonry and the SRICF. I am also a member of YR, but because of their meeting night I only get to attend on rare occasions. I like the lessons, ritual and symbol of the appendant bodies and think Masonry is richer for it.
The caveat I have to...
I think men find that what they studied about and what they found are different. We chronically undervalue Freemasonry, the lodge is then underfunded, and the lodge experience unfulfilling.
We need to treat Masonry as special as it is.
Eric your post seem similar to an anti-Mason I have met that post at Ephesians 5-11 and I wonder, due to the nature of your post if your goal is to find out about Freemasonry or to "witness" to what you believe are a group of men who are not living within their Christian obligations if, in fact...
