If you are looking for a boogie man to the Christian faith you will not find one.
Yet, there are things that some Christian churches take umbrage with. You should be aware of these and go in with both eyes open and more importantly an open heart.
1. You can not proselytize except to live...
I have done both, but the best course of action is to arrange the visit through your Grand Secretary and make certain you have a patent as the rest of the world doesn't do dues cards.
The Masonic Restoration Foundation does not open or close like a lodge. It is similar to other conferences that are open to Masons. The MRF annual meeting is at the North American Conference of Grand Masters for instance...and is not "tyled" with any kind of ritual or such.
It is common for...
The Mystery Experience by Timothy Freke...five stars. Tim found his form of initiation on his own...I mean that to say that he found that perennial philosophy that binds all of us and does a phenomenal job of sharing it in this book.
Harp, Pipe and Symphony and Little Doors by Paul Di...
Brother Vick,
I assure you its above board and safe for Texas Masons. A Texas Mason is the president of the board, the GM of New Hamshire, the GM of Washington DC, the Grand Secretary of California are all on the board, etc.
It is not a fringe event and we receive several Texas Masons every...
I didn't know PHA wasn't "mainstream" LOL.
In Colorado we have full recognition of one another, sit in lodge, we have even done courtesy work...to include YR and SR bodies :-).
A true do not miss. Dr. Steven Rhoads is one of the Nations experts in Subconscious Communications and detecting deception. He will be speaking on how to utilize this spectacular science during investigations committees to actually learn if you are being told the truth. Best yet, his...
Brethren I am pleased to announce that I will be speaking at the Collegium graduation banquet in Austin for those who might be members of the Collegium in Austin Valley.
I will be lecturing on the esoteric significance of the chivalric and knighthood traditions. I will have copies of my book...
We post them on a board prior to the meeting. Brethren can read them.
In Scottish Rite they are kept on file, but not read in the meetings. We focus both blue lodge and SR on the enrichment of the individual, not reading what we know we already did.
And....is swearing an oath before God the work of religion, prayer, circumabulation of an altar adorned with a holy book....
and what about our terms...
Calvin was the first person on record to ever call God the Great Architect of the Universe....should we surrender this term to the...
Huw if you are against Masonry having weddings, are you okay with the State or government doing weddings? I am just curious if weddings are in fact religious, why we are comfortable with the mixing of religion and the state?
And...if weddings are the work of religion, should irreligious people...
An EA, in Colorado, is directed not to identify himself as a Mason to anyone with whom he has not sat in Lodge.
That being said, I understand how excited guys can get and we need to find a balance between good Masonry and kickin' some young guy in the giblets who is excited about being a...
The devil in many ways has been devastating to our culture, not in that we are plagued by a little red dude. But, in that, with him to blame we have an excuse not to take personal responsibility.
On another note, not sure the above is accurate Brother Rich. I think that from Sumer, Cush, etc...
I happen to like my lodge the way it is, but Masonry has radically changed over the years. We tend to believe or convince ourselves that Masonry is the Masonry we know and this simply isn't true.
The Masonry of our forefathers would be hardly recognizable right now.
Masonry is supposed to...
Brothers if you PM'd me here and gave me your address and I sent you books, I think the Brotherly thing to do is pay for those books. We are Brothers.....
