I was robbed of my gas grill for the last year, and was forced into charcoal. It was miserable, charcoal heats unevenly, is a pan to use and a mess to clean up.
I will take gas any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. You want smoke in your flavor than buy some woodchips and soak them.

When I was an adolescent my Grandfather who was a Mason took me to the cornerstone leveling of the Denver International Airport. He wore his apron and I remember the ceremony clearly. I asked my Grandfather why he wore an apron, and he told me they were Masons, and explained to me the...
they are TO like, not an official TO lodge. Also look at the members of that lodge, and it is easy to see why they have some room to maneuver in that regard.

Sorry if I don't jump at it, but we also PGM that are members of the Philalethes Society. Including the man that banned it from Texas as an recognized organization. Just because higher ups can do it, doesn't mean peons can do it. Unfortantely it is a sad fact of the fraternity, especially in...
Depending on who you talk to in the GLoTX, we can or cannot attend such an event, as MRF is not recognized by the Grand Lodge, it also isn't strictly forbidden. These type of vagaries seem to cause more problems than they solve.

I think endowments are excellent ways for senior brothers and families of brothers past on to make sure they continue to give to the lodge. I think endowments purchased by young men in the long run do the lodge more harm than good, and directly benefit the Grand Lodge, vice the individual...
I was a Steward this year and all I got was grief, and people complaining that I brought too much store bought food in for meetings.
LUCKY!

The issue is that men who start at Junior Stewart think they are entitled to Worshipful Master, even though they are willfully unqualified for such a position. We also have a tendency to put men in the east for reasons that aren't completely fair, son or grandson of somebody. Someone that...
Re: Edict From Masonic Grand Lodge of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territor
Given the current make-up of movers and shakers in Grand Lodge and other bodies here in Texas I don't believe that it would ever sprout wings, even if it was attempted.

If you want to join prince hall it might be an option, though I have never heard of it being practiced at leatherneck. I would wait until you got back. PM if you have any further questions about Freemasonry in Afghanistan.
Yeah, didn't you tell him "This is Freemasonry! It's the inner not the outer that counts, this ain't some 'high falutin' jurisdiction'." Really I have heard it before from some brothers that have gone through, that it was lacking and was upset about the way it was executed, or the lack of...
Re: Edict From Masonic Grand Lodge of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territor
UPDATE: News is trickling down that this was directed at the "discovery Lodge of Research" which was sent a separate edict outlining specifically what they can and cannot research.
Word on the street was...
Come on, I posted this a day before in the International Forum, this can't be a shock to you guys. :)
Unless you ignore my posts, which is reasonable. ;)

I received this yesterday, but it appears that that the Grand Lodge de France had a tiled meeting to discuss the results of the Declaration of Basel and it's intended path forward. The Grand Master has in essence said that he completely agrees with Declaration of Basel and feels that the GLdF...
Re: Edict From Masonic Grand Lodge of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territor
It would be acceptable if an individual lodge wanted to ban this type of conversation, particularly if it helps the WM keep Peace and Harmony. Sometimes these type of things can spill over into other aspects...
Re: Edict From Masonic Grand Lodge of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territor
Correct, but there is already disagreement regarding whether it means that an Australian Freemason can discuss occultism in terms of Freemasonry in any type of Masonic forum. Also, discussion of some of the...
See below from Australia, it appears as the Grand Master has directly defined what is considered 'esoteric' within the confines of his definition of Freemasonry. He also outlines what is not "esoteric" as "occultism, sorcery, alchemy, astrology, profane mysticism, transcendentalism...
Well at least it doesn't piss you off anymore. I know it is hard dealing with people that have different values than you do, even worse when they have a shared common interest. I have tried to be respectful towards your view point and I get nothing from you but how my value system is...
