You guys really should think about marking your containers very carefully and clearly if you are geocaching in an urban setting. In today's hypersensitive age, an uninformed person finding an odd tube or box bolted to a park bench/water fountain/road sign could result in the bomb squad getting...
We do a raffle to fund our scholarship. Last year was for a barbecue pit. This year's raffle was derailed by the hurricane. I think Grand Lodge limits the number of times per year a lodge can conduct them.
The Banquet Night

"ONCE in so often," King Solomon said,
Watching his quarrymen drill the stone,

Along those lines, I wish Bob Barr had a shot at winning. Unfortunately, I don't think enough Americans are yet sufficiently put out with the status quo of the Republican and Democratic parties to give a third party a serious chance in a national election.
My dual membership was a result of relocating to another area with my job. There are four lodges in the town where I currently reside, with many more in the immediate vicinity, but I have found that membership at just one keeps me plenty busy!
Not a bad idea. It sounds less labor-intensive than a barbecure or hot links dinner as a fund raiser, plus if nobody shows up you aren't stuck with a lot of unsold inventory.
