We do a raffle to fund our scholarship. Last year was for a barbecue pit. This year's raffle was derailed by the hurricane. I think Grand Lodge limits the number of times per year a lodge can conduct them.

Tolerance 1165 (Beaumont) is doing quite well. We have candidates rolling through pretty regularly, and we avoided any severe hurricane damage. On a personal level, I've been BUSY! Haven't even been online here for a month.

There is already just such an organization. It's called Order of Eastern Star. I tend to be pretty open minded about progressive ideas, but I don't think making Masonry fully co-ed is a step in the right direction.

My dual membership was a result of relocating to another area with my job. There are four lodges in the town where I currently reside, with many more in the immediate vicinity, but I have found that membership at just one keeps me plenty busy!

Not a bad idea. It sounds less labor-intensive than a barbecure or hot links dinner as a fund raiser, plus if nobody shows up you aren't stuck with a lot of unsold inventory.

I haven't thus far, but I wouldn't be opposed to it for the appropiate special occasion.
